The role you’ll contribute:

Responsible for providing a continuum of services to patients with neurological, swallowing, speech-language, cognitive, pragmatic, voice, and other related disorders requiring intervention by a Speech-Language Pathologist through an interdisciplinary approach. Utilizes the rehab process to promote and restore optimal health and well-being of the patient. Assumes personal accountability for organizational mission and core values.

The value you’ll bring to the team:

• Evaluates patients referred to speech therapy by completing initial profiles within time standards per department protocol.
• Applies appropriate diagnostic and prognostic tests including but not limited to assessments for dysphagia, aphasia, language, voice, speech, and cognitive deficits.
• Standardized testing will include special tests to determine the level of disability and track outcomes over the patient care experience.
• Performs various therapeutic interventions including swallowing, voice, speech-language, and cognitive skills.

Qualifications

The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed:

• Master’s degree in speech-language pathology with a Certificate of Clinical Competence.
• Current Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association.
• Current Speech-Language Pathologist Certification with the State of Colorado.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
• Experience with Modified Barium Swallow studies and cognitive assessments required.
