Qualifications

**Schedule:** PRN

**Shift** : Days 7:30 am - 4:00 pm

**Location:** 2525 S DOWNING ST, Denver, 80210

**The role you’ll contribute:**

Responsible for a continuum of services providing care to patients with neurological, swallowing, speech-language, cognitive, pragmatic, voice and other cognitive related disorders requiring intervention by a Speech-Language Pathologist through an interdisciplinary approach. Utilizes rehab process to promote and restore optimal health to well-being of the patient. Assumes personal accountability for organizational mission and core values.

**The value you’ll bring to the team:**

+ Evaluates patients referred to speech therapy by completing initial profile within time standards per department protocol.

+ Applies appropriate diagnostic and prognostic tests including but not limited to dysphagia, aphasia, language, voice, speech, and cognitive deficits.

+ Standardized testing will include special tests to determine level of disability and track outcomes over the patient care experience.

+ Performs a variety of therapeutic interventions including but not limited to swallowing, voice, speech-language, and cognitive skills.

Qualifications

**The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed:**

+ Master’s degree in speech-language therapy with a Certificate of Clinical Competence

+ Current Certificate of Clinical Competency from the American-Speech-Language-Hearing Association

+ Current Speech Language Pathologist Certification with the State of Colorado

+ Current Basic Life Support (BLS) from American Heart Association

+ Need to have experience with Modified Barium Swallow studies and cognitive assessments.

+ FEES certification preferred.
