Speech Language Pathologist - HRS PRN

Lifepoint Rehabilitation is a leading provider of acute inpatient rehabilitation services with more than 300 hospital-based rehabilitation units, medical/surgical and outpatient therapy settings, and more than 30 joint venture inpatient rehabilitation hospitals across the country. What you will do in this role:
  1. Help patients recover and improve their speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing abilities through therapy.
  2. Communicate patient progress or issues to supervisors and team members; assist with scheduling and post charges daily to patient records.
  3. Document patient care adhering to regulatory, licensing, payer, and accrediting standards.
  4. Instruct family members or nursing staff in follow-up programs.
  5. Maintain equipment and work area in a safe and clean condition.
  6. Handle responsibilities in accordance with company policies, professional standards, and laws.
  7. Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  1. Master’s degree in Speech Language Pathology from an accredited program or meeting ASHA certification requirements.
  2. Meet the education and experience requirements for ASHA’s Certification of Clinical Competence in Speech Language Pathology or Audiology.
  3. At least six months of experience working with adult and geriatric populations.
  4. Current and unrestricted Speech Language Pathologist license in the state of practice.
  5. Current CPR certification.
  6. Strong organizational and communication skills.
