Speech Pathologist, Louisville Therapies

Shift: PRN Days

Where You'll Be:

The Baptist Health Louisville Speech Pathology team is focused on providing collaborative, patient-centered care. Our team includes professionals with 1-20+ years of experience. We serve adult and geriatric patients, emphasizing dysphagia and speech/language or cognitive disorders. Treatment typically combines acute care and outpatient rehabilitation.

Diagnose and treat communication and swallowing disorders as assigned. Conditions may include neurological disorders, deficits due to injury or surgery, developmental or acquired speech, language, and swallowing disorders, hearing impairment, voice or fluency disorders, impaired cognition, and sensorimotor deficits. Collaborate with other departments and therapies for comprehensive patient care.

What You'll Do:
  1. Schedule, evaluate, and treat patients as assigned
  2. Develop an outcome-oriented care plan, sharing knowledge with patients and families
  3. Provide treatment based on the care plan and revise it as necessary
  4. Maintain accurate patient documentation, including computerized records, and handle billing for evaluations, treatments, and education
Why You're a Great Fit:
  • You are licensed in Speech-Language Pathology by the State of Kentucky.
  • You hold a CCC (Certificate of Clinical Competence) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association.
  • Experience in acute, rehab, and outpatient settings is strongly preferred.
  • You have or will obtain Basic Life Support (CPR) certification.
