Job summary

Sierra Valley Rehab Center in Porterville, CA is seeking a dedicated Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) for a part-time role to support residents in a skilled nursing setting.

Responsibilities include evaluation, plan development, direct therapy, and caregiver training. California license and master’s degree required; CCC-SLP preferred. Competitive hourly wage with a flexible part-time schedule and a collaborative team environment.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
• Current California SLP license.
• CCC-SLP certification preferred; not required.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients for speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in coordination with the care team.
• Provide direct therapy and caregiver/staff training as needed.
• Maintain accurate documentation, including daily treatment notes, evaluations, progress reports, and discharge summaries.
• Participate in care planning meetings and collaborate with nursing and therapy staff.
• Ensure compliance with all applicable regulations and facility standards.
