We are committed to providing exceptional care and helping our residents regain independence and quality of life.Position Summary:The Speech Language Pathologist is responsible for evaluating and treating residents with speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders. This role ensures timely, effective, and compassionate treatment aligned with physician orders and facility policies.Key Responsibilities:Evaluate patients within 24 hours or 1 business day of physician referralDevelop treatment plans and obtain physician approvalAdminister treatments per the approved plan of careSupervise SLP Assistants and CFY clinicians in patient care activitiesCommunicate effectively with the interdisciplinary team regarding patient status and progressAttend and participate in Patient Care Conferences, UR meetings, and staff in-servicesDocument evaluations, daily notes, progress notes, recertifications, and discharge summaries per state and payer requirementsProvide caregiver and staff education for post-discharge maintenance programsEnsure compliance with facility policies and the State Practice ActQualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Speech Language Pathology required; Master’s or Doctorate preferredCurrent California SLP license in good standingStrong proficiency with electronic documentation (Casamba, PointClickCare preferred)Excellent communication, clinical reasoning, and organizational skillsAbility to supervise CFY clinicians and collaborate with restorative staffPhysical & Work Environment Requirements:Frequent standing, walking, pushing/pulling, hearing, and speakingOccasional lifting of 100+ lbs. and physical mobility for hands-on careWork environment is typically quiet to moderate in noiseWhat We Offer:Competitive hourly rate of $60/hourFull benefits package and 401(k) for full-time staffPositive, team-oriented workplace cultureOngoing training and advancement opportunitiesEmployee recognition and appreciation programsWe are an equal opportunity employer.
