Job summary

Powerback is seeking a Speech-Language Pathology Clinical Fellowship (SLP-CF) to join our rehabilitation team. You will complete a 36-week fellowship under supervision, pursue licensure, and progress under CMS guidelines and ASHA standards in a supportive clinical environment.

The role emphasizes collaboration with rehab professionals, adherence to productivity standards, and a strong focus on patient-centered care across cognitive-communication, swallowing, and related modalities.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or related field.
• Licensed, certified or credentialed as required in the state of practice.

Responsibilities

• Complete a minimum of 36 weeks Clinical Fellowship for full-time employment under supervision by a licensed ASHA-certified SLP.
• Meet state licensure requirements and CMS supervision requirements during provisional licensure.
• Communicate fellowship status and licensure updates to supervisor and Director of Rehab in a timely manner.
• Not eligible to provide supervision to students during the Clinical Fellowship.
• Meet productivity standards for the rehab gym as directed by leadership.
• Attend patient care conferences and related meetings.
• Collaborate with rehabilitation team to select appropriate therapeutic regimens.
• Adapt plan of care per patient needs.
• Promote a safe environment and enforce safety standards.
• Order supplies and equipment as necessary.
• Maintain and report on equipment condition and repairs.
• Place patient service first and ensure quality of care in a compassionate setting.
• Screen, examine, and evaluate patients, establish diagnosis and plan treatment within scope of practice.
• Coordinate acquisition of adaptive communication devices and train patients in their use.
• Identify and refer hearing deficits for assessment and rehabilitation.
• Select activities suited to patient capacity and interests.
• Instruct patients in therapy techniques and monitor progress.
• Perform routine reexaminations and modify plans as needed.
• Perform other related duties as required.
