Job summary

Central Texas Nursing and Rehabilitation seeks a full-time Speech Language Pathologist to join our in-house team, serving residents through person-centered care to improve swallowing and communication.

You will evaluate, develop and implement treatment plans, provide AAC systems, educate residents and caregivers, and coordinate with other professionals. Texas license required; SNF experience preferred; new grads welcome.

Qualifications

• Active/Valid Texas license in Speech-Language Pathology.
• SNF/Long-term care experience preferred.
• Knowledge of Net Health Electronic Documentation System preferred.
• Ability to manage patients with different types of personalities.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate residents' swallowing or cognitive deficits.
• Help residents achieve goals in cognition or swallowing.
• Educate residents and caregivers.
• Provide skilled, medically necessary speech-language therapy assessments and develop/timely implement treatment plans.
• Provide AAC systems for individuals with expressive/language disorders.
• Provide training to clients, family, caregivers, and other professionals as a subject matter expert.
• Coordinate with other professionals for diagnostic swallowing procedures as ordered by physician.
• Demonstrate competent technical skills per current Speech Therapy standards.
