Job summary

Southern Specialty Rehabilitation and Nursing in Texas seeks a full-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our in-house team serving residents with person-centered care to achieve positive outcomes.

The role includes evaluations for swallowing and cognition, creating individualized treatment plans, and educating residents and caregivers. Texas license required; SNF experience preferred; benefits include competitive compensation and benefits.

Qualifications

• Active Texas license in Speech-Language Pathology.
• SNF/long term care experience preferred.
• Knowledge of current treatment practices.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate residents for swallowing or cognitive deficits.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
• Provide AAC systems for expressive and language disorders.
• Educate residents, caregivers, and staff on therapy goals.
• Coordinate with other professionals for diagnostic procedures as ordered by physician.
