Job summary

OVERLANDPARK is seeking a Staff Speech-Language Pathologist to evaluate and treat residents, communicate with families and health team members, and document services per policy. The role includes training facility staff and mentoring CFY students.

You will develop and update individualized treatment plans, collaborate with the nursing department, and participate in care conferences to support discharge planning and quality care.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
• Masters or Doctorate in Speech-Language Pathology preferred.
• Licensed Speech Therapist in the state. Continuous education required.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate residents to determine speech therapy needs and rehabilitation potential.
• Develop and update individualized treatment plans to improve function.
• Supervise CFY Speech Clin. Fellows and students as applicable.
• Communicate progress and discharge planning with physicians and families.
• Complete timely documentation per facility and payer requirements.
• Maintain a safe treatment environment and educate residents and families on home programs.
