Job summary

Essentia Health in Sandstone, MN seeks a Speech-Language Pathologist to evaluate, plan, and treat patients with speech, language, cognition and swallowing needs per ASHA standards and health policies.

The role includes developing treatment plans, coordinating with a multidisciplinary team, managing documentation and scheduling, and supervising support staff. FTE 0.6 with day rotations and occasional flexing to other departments.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree from an accredited speech and language pathology program.
• Current registration/license to practice speech-language pathology in the state of practice.

Responsibilities

• Provide therapy evaluation, develop individualized treatment plans, implement evidence-based interventions, provide patient/caregiver education, and discharge planning for a full patient caseload.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary care team to ensure optimal clinical and financial outcomes.
• Work with Essentia Health leadership and refer physicians to ensure cohesive patient care.
• Meet organizational policies and code of conduct; participate in credentialing and supervision as needed.
