Job summary

Essentia Health is seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist to evaluate, plan, treat, and implement care for patients in speech, language, cognition, and swallowing, following ASHA standards.

The role includes developing treatment plans, providing caregiver education, and coordinating with physicians and leadership to ensure cohesive patient care. A Master’s degree and active state licensure are required. Weekend rotations apply as part of the schedule.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree from accredited speech-language pathology program.
• Current registration/license to practice speech-language pathology in the state of practice.

Responsibilities

• Provide therapy evaluation and develop individualized treatment plans with discharge planning for a full patient caseload.
• Documentation, billing, scheduling management, and other administrative duties for the caseload.
• Demonstrate communication, professionalism and supervision of support staff (licensed assistants, aides, volunteers).
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary care team to ensure optimal clinical and financial outcomes.
• Work with Essentia Health leadership and coordinate with referring physicians to ensure cohesive patient care.
• Meet organizational policies and code of conduct and uphold ASHA standards.
• Occasional weekend rotations and flexible scheduling in the hospital setting.
