Job summary

Essentia Health Speech-Language Pathology department is seeking a clinician to evaluate and treat patients with communication and swallowing disorders. You will develop individualized plans and work within a multidisciplinary team to deliver evidence-based care.

The role requires a Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active state licensure, and the ability to coordinate with physicians while supporting patient education and discharge planning.

Qualifications

• Master's degree from accredited speech and language pathology program.
• Current license to practice speech-language pathology in the state.

Responsibilities

• Provide therapy evaluation, develop individualized treatment plans, and implement evidence-based interventions.
• Provide patient and caregiver education and discharge planning for a full patient caseload.
• Complete ancillary/administrative duties including documentation, billing, and scheduling management.
• Supervise licensed assistants, aides, and volunteers; maintain professional communication.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary care team to optimize clinical and financial outcomes.
• Coordinate with referring physicians to ensure cohesive patient care; adhere to policies and ethics.
• Flex to other departments when needed; serve as clinical instructor or committee participant.
