Job summary

Arbors-Healthcare-and-Rehabilitation-Cente in Texas seeks a Full-Time Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our in-house team providing person-centered care to residents.

Responsibilities include evaluating swallowing and cognitive goals, developing treatment plans, educating residents and caregivers, and coordinating with medical staff to ensure quality therapy and compliant documentation. Flexible scheduling and competitive compensation and benefits offered.

Qualifications

• Active Texas license in Speech-Language Pathology.
• In good standing with regulatory boards.
• SNF/Long-term care experience preferred.
• Knowledge of current treatment practices.
• Familiarity with Net Health EHR system preferred.
• Ability to manage patients with diverse personalities.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate residents for swallowing or cognitive deficits.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
• Provide AAC systems for individuals with severe expressive and/or language disorders.
• Educate residents and caregivers.
• Coordinate with other professionals for diagnostic swallowing procedures (MBSS, FEES).
• Document billing and clinical records accurately and timely.
• Communicate changes in resident’s condition.
• Coordinate with Restorative Nursing and care staff.
