Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a Speech Language Pathologist to evaluate patients with speech, language, voice, cognitive and swallowing disorders. The role includes developing and implementing a written plan of care, monitoring progress, and coordinating discharge planning with families and community services.

The position requires a Master’s degree in Speech Pathology and an active SLP license, with BLS certification as applicable.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Speech Pathology required.
• Speech Language Pathologist license required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• No experience required.

Responsibilities

• Interprets physician referrals and conducts speech and language evaluations.
• Establishes a written plan of care and implements individual treatment.
• Monitors and evaluates outcomes and adjusts treatment as needed.
• Plans for discharge including home programs and family teaching.
• Completes documentation, billing, and scheduling per policy.
• May supervise non-licensed personnel and provide student supervision.
