Job summary

SSM Health Physical Therapy Day Instititute in Chesterfield, MO, seeks a Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) for our outpatient rehabilitation program. You will evaluate patients with neurological or medically complex needs and develop individualized treatment plans, coordinating with a multidisciplinary team.

The role offers a full-time schedule, Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM, with a focus on maximizing patient independence and outcomes in a supportive, recognized workplace.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Speech Therapy required.
• Current and valid state licensure or eligibility for licensure as an SLP.
• Current CCC in Speech Language Pathology or eligibility for certification.

Responsibilities

• Evaluates assigned patients and establishes treatment goals and programs.
• Provides ongoing evaluation of patient status and progress toward goals.
• Develops comprehensive goals for patient treatment to maximize outcomes.
• Coordinates treatment with other clinical/therapeutic services.
• Attends clinical meetings to facilitate coordination.
• Educates patient and family with home program instructions for discharge.

SSM Health Day Institute is seeking a Speech Language Pathologist to work in our specialized outpatient rehabilitation program. We have ten centers across the St. Louis Metro area serving individuals recovering from a traumatic injury or illness who no longer require 24-hour nursing or acute rehabilitative care. • Provides ongoing evaluation of patient’s status and goals

• Provides for patient education to include development of comprehensive and progressive home programs with instruction to patient, family and other caregivers
• Prepares for patient discharge inclusive of ordering of necessary equipment and recommendations
• Evaluates patient in actual or simulated home, school, work or community environments
• Bachelor’s Degree in Speech Therapy required
• Current and valid state licensure or eligibility for state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist required
• Current Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) in Speech Language Pathology from the American speech-Language & Hearing Association or eligibility for Certification pending professional experience required.
• Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification
