Job summary

SSM Health Physical Therapy Day Institute in Florissant, MO is seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) for a float position in our outpatient rehabilitation program. The role involves evaluating patients recovering from neurological or medically complex conditions, setting goals, and coordinating with a multidisciplinary team to maximize independence.

Requirements include a Bachelor’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology, current/state licensure or eligibility, CCC from ASHA (or eligibility),

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology is required.
• Current and valid state licensure or eligibility for licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist is required.
• Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from ASHA or eligibility for Certification pending professional experience is required.
• CPR certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Evaluates assigned patients and establishes appropriate treatment goals and treatment programs.
• Provides ongoing evaluation of patient’s status and goals.
• Develops comprehensive goals for patient treatment to maximize outcomes.
• Coordinates treatment program with other clinical/therapeutic services.
• Attends appropriate clinical meetings to facilitate coordination.
• Provides patient education including development of comprehensive home programs for patient, family and caregivers.
• Prepares for patient discharge including ordering of necessary equipment and recommendations.

Schedule: Monday-Friday 8:00A-4:30P
SSM Health Day Institute is seeking a Speech Language Pathologist to work a Float position in our specialized outpatient rehabilitation program. We have ten centers across the St. Louis Metro area serving individuals recovering from a traumatic injury or illness who no longer require 24-hour nursing or acute rehabilitative care. We take a comprehensive, multi-disciplinary approach to build skills and maximize independence. • Current and valid state licensure or eligibility for state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist required
• Current Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) in Speech Language Pathology from the American speech-Language & Hearing Association or eligibility for Certification pending professional experience required.
• Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification
