Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
• National Praxis Examination completed.
• Clinical Fellowship Year completed.
• One year of clinical experience required.

Responsibilities

• Deliver speech-language pathology services to HFHS patients, including adults and pediatrics; diagnose and treat communication and swallowing disorders.
• Operate and maintain clinical assessments and instrumentation used during evaluations and therapy sessions.
• Conduct endoscopic assessments of vocal fold function and swallowing capabilities.
• Collaborate with dietary staff to develop nutrition and eating plans for swallowing-impaired patients.
• Educate patients on communication technologies post-surgery to rebuild confidence and skills.
• Participate in departmental education, program development, and fellow orientation.
• Mentor graduate students and clinical fellows, schedule management, and performance reviews.
• Represent HFHS at conferences and community events to share program information.
• Take on additional duties to support the team as needed.
