Qualifications

• Master's degree in SLP required.
• Successful completion of the National Praxis Examination.
• Successful completion of the Clinical Fellowship Year.
• One year of clinical experience required.
• Pediatric experience preferred (autism spectrum and feeding disorders).

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical SLP services to HFHS patients including consultation with patient, family and staff.
• Diagnose speech, language or swallowing disorders and evaluate prognosis.
• Develops treatment/therapy programs and schedules follow-ups.
• Operate equipment to measure speech during evaluations and treatment.
• Perform endoscopic assessment of vocal fold function and swallowing.
• Collaborate with dietary staff on nutrition and eating programs.
• Educate patients on communication technology post-surgery and train usage.
• Participate in education and research programs and supervise graduate students and fellows.
• Represent HFHS at conferences and educate communities.
