Job summary

North Texas Therapy & Home Care in Texas seeks a licensed Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to provide pediatric therapy services in patients' homes or daytime facilities.

You will work under a supervising SLP, schedule weekly visits, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to meet each child's goals while keeping current professional knowledge.

Bilingual skills are a plus; home health experience is preferred; strong communication and compassionate care are valued.

Qualifications

• Current Texas SLPA licensure
• 6 months of full-time clinical experience
• Pediatrics experience
• Home Health experience preferred
• Bilingual is preferred, but not required

Responsibilities

• Provides skilled speech therapy services/interventions in accordance with physician orders
• Provides skilled speech therapy services/interventions in the patients home or daytime facility
• Schedules weekly supervision visit(s) with his/her supervising SLP according to Texas board guidelines
• Collaborates with all disciplines to plan and address team goals for each patient
• Plans for care to meet goals of the speech therapy interventions
• Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, maintaining personal networks, and participating in professional organizations.
• Enhances speech therapy reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests and exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments
