Job summary

North Texas Therapy & Home Care in Lewisville, TX seeks a licensed SLPA to deliver pediatric speech-language pathology services in patients' homes or daytime facilities, under physician orders. The role emphasizes bilingual communication and collaboration with a multidisciplinary team.

You will schedule supervision with a supervising SLP per Texas board guidelines, pursue ongoing education, and advocate for high-quality care including plan of care and goal attainment.

Qualifications

• Must be bilingual English/Spanish.
• Current Texas SLPA licensure.
• 6 months of full-time clinical experience.
• Pediatrics experience.
• Home Health experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides skilled speech therapy services/interventions in accordance with physician orders
• Provides skilled speech therapy services/interventions in the patients home or daytime facility
• Schedules weekly supervision visit(s) with his/her supervising SLP according to Texas board guidelines
• Collaborates with all disciplines to plan and address team goals for each patient
• Plans for care to meet goals of the speech therapy interventions
• Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, maintaining personal networks, and participating in professional organizations.
• Enhances speech therapy reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests and exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments
