Responsibilities

• Provides skilled speech therapy services per physician orders.
• Delivers therapy in the patient’s home or daytime facility.
• Schedules weekly supervision visits with the supervising SLP.
• Collaborates with other disciplines to plan patient goals.
• Plans care to meet speech therapy goals.
• Keeps knowledge up-to-date through education and professional reading.
• Thinks creatively to add value and meet requests.

• Current Texas SLPA licensure

• Provides skilled speech therapy services/interventions in accordance with physician orders
• Provides skilled speech therapy services/interventions in the patients home or daytime facility
• Schedules weekly supervision visit(s) with his/her supervising SLP according to Texas board guidelines
• Collaborates with all disciplines to plan and address team goals for each patient
• Plans for care to meet goals of the speech therapy interventions
• Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, maintaining personal networks, and participating in professional organizations.
• Enhances speech therapy reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests and exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments
