Role Description

The Speech Language Pathologist is a full-time, on-site role based in Chester, NY. This role involves conducting comprehensive speech and language evaluations, developing individualized treatment plans, and providing direct therapy services to children across a range of developmental and communication needs. Daily responsibilities include collaborating with families, educators, and multidisciplinary team members, maintaining accurate documentation, and participating in service coordination meetings as needed. The Speech Language Pathologist will provide therapy in individual and group settings, monitor progress, adjust interventions based on data and family input, and ensure services are delivered in accordance with applicable state and program guidelines. The role also includes educating caregivers on strategies to support communication and feeding skills at home and in community settings.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated expertise in Speech Therapy and Speech, with the ability to design and implement evidence-based treatment plans.
• Experience working with Communication Disorders and Language Disorders, including assessment, diagnosis, and intervention for pediatric populations.
• Knowledge and clinical skills in managing Dysphagia and feeding/swallowing concerns in children, where applicable to the caseload.
• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program and current New York State licensure (or eligibility) as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
• Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) from ASHA or actively pursuing certification is preferred.
• Strong interpersonal, collaboration, and communication skills for working with children, families, educators, and multidisciplinary teams.
• Ability to complete thorough documentation, comply with program and state regulations, and manage a full-time on-site caseload in Chester, NY.
• Previous experience in early intervention, preschool, school-age, or autism services is beneficial.
