Job summary

NORTH SHORE CENTER FOR SPEECH in Village of Westbury is seeking skilled Speech Language Pathologists to join our team, including CFYs. This position focuses on home-based Early Intervention for children under 3 years old, assisting in their cognitive and communication development.

Successful candidates will have a Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, New York State licensure, and a passion for helping children. The role offers direct onsite supervision and a competitive salary with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
  • Current New York State licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
  • Experience with speech and language treatment for birth to 3 years.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor patient progress and adjust therapy plans.

About the Role

North Shore Center for Speech, Language, and Swallowing Disorders is seeking skilled and compassionate Speech Language Pathologists to join our team. CFY's are welcome. Complete your CF in 9 months full-time. Experienced in-person supervision provided. North Shore Center for Speech is currently seeking full‑time employees and contract Speech Pathologists for home‑based Early Intervention in Nassau and Suffolk Counties.

Early Intervention (EI), birth to 3‑year‑old program specialists assist in the screening, assessment, identification, and treatment of children presenting with developmental delays or disabilities; assist students in the development of cognitive, communication, oral feeding, social and emotional, adaptive, fine and gross motor skills within the home, preschool, and other community settings.

Responsibilities
  • Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients with speech, language, voice, fluency, and swallowing disorders
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient needs and clinical goals
  • Monitor and document patient progress, adjusting therapy plans as needed
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, families, and caregivers to support patient outcomes
  • Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation and records
  • Provide education and guidance to families regarding communication and/or oral feeding strategies
  • Participate in team meetings, case reviews, and continuing education opportunities
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Speech‑Language Pathology from an accredited program
  • Current New York State licensure as a Speech‑Language Pathologist
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC‑SLP) from ASHA, or Clinical Fellowship (CF) candidates are welcome
  • Experience with speech and language treatment for birth‑3
  • Pediatric feeding experience or desire to learn
  • Strong diagnostic, clinical reasoning, and treatment planning skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with patients, families, and colleagues
  • Highly organized, detail‑oriented, and maintains accurate and up‑to‑date patient records
