Job summary

Monterey Palms Healthcare Center is seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) in California to screen, evaluate, and treat residents under established plans of care. The role emphasizes accurate assessment, documentation, and collaboration with the care team.

Qualified candidates hold a Master's in Speech-Language Pathology with a CA license and certification in clinical competency; one year of experience is preferred. A sign-on bonus and comprehensive benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• Master of Science in Speech-Language Pathology required.
• California state license to practice Speech-Language Pathology required.
• Certification in Clinical Competency preferred.
• One year of clinical experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Screens and evaluates residents and develops appropriate plan of care.
• Provides direct resident treatment in accordance with an established plan of care.
• Administers, scores, and interprets specialized hearing and speech tests.
• Works with residents for functional swallow techniques.
• Maintains confidentiality of patient records.
• Completes required forms and documents in accordance with company policy and state and/or federal regulations.

Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) responsibilities within scope of practice and federal guidelines:

• Screens and evaluates residents and develops appropriate plan of care.
• Provides direct resident treatment in accordance with an established plan of care.
• Administers, scores, and interprets specialized hearing and speech tests.
• Works with residents for functional swallow techniques.

• Completes required forms and documents in accordance with company policy and state and/or federal regulations.

Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) Entry Qualifications and Skills:

• Master of Science degree in Speech Language Pathology.
