Job summary

AnthroMed Education is seeking a Full-Time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join its school-based team in North Chicago, IL. You will provide direct therapy to K–5 students and help alleviate caseloads for the district’s SLPs, with a Monday–Friday schedule and 8:00 AM–2:45 PM hours.

The role emphasizes collaboration with teachers, IEP teams, and related services, delivering high-quality speech and language services while maintaining accurate documentation and progress monitoring throughout

Qualifications

  • Illinois IDFPR SLP license.
  • PEL with SLP endorsement.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Experience with elementary-aged students preferred.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary school team.
  • Passion for supporting students with diverse communication needs.

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct speech and language therapy to students in grades K–5.

Position Details
  • Position: Full-Time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP)

  • Grade Levels: K–5th Grade

  • Start Date: ASAP

  • End Date: May 26, 2027

  • Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–2:45 PM

  • Hours: 37.5 hours per week

  • Setting: Onsite

  • Caseload: Special education students across the K–5th grade setting

  • Compensation: $60,000–$72,000 annually

About the Role

This SLP position was just opened to provide additional support to the school's existing speech-language team. You will work with special education students in grades K–5 and help alleviate caseloads for the current SLPs.

The district is looking for a collaborative clinician who can jump into a school environment, build strong relationships with students and staff, and provide high-quality speech and language services.

Responsibilities
  • Provide direct speech and language therapy to students in grades K–5

  • Support students receiving special education services based on their individual needs and IEP goals

  • Help alleviate caseload demands for the current SLP team

  • Conduct assessments and contribute to evaluation processes as appropriate

  • Develop and implement individualized speech and language goals

  • Attend IEP meetings and collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and related service providers

  • Monitor and document student progress

  • Maintain accurate and timely service documentation

  • Collaborate with the existing SLP team to ensure consistency of services and continuity of care

  • Communicate effectively with families and school staff regarding student progress and needs

Qualifications
  • Illinois IDFPR Speech-Language Pathology License

  • Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with appropriate SLP endorsement

  • Strong communication and collaboration skills

Compensation & Benefits
  • $60,000–$72,000 annual salary
