Qualifications

• Must have a Masters Degree from an accredited graduate program in speech language pathology.
• Must have a current state license as a Speech Language Pathologist or ability to obtain it prior to starting.
• Must possess excellent interpersonal, fiscal, and clinical skills.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and treat patients for swallowing disorders and communication/ cognitive impairments, utilizing a variety of evidence-based therapeutic techniques
• Establish treatment goals, as well as develop and implement appropriate Speech Pathology treatment programs based upon a full clinical evaluation
• Provide rehabilitative services to patients under specific medical orders as part of a coordinated team
• Participate in clinical conferences to share and coordinate the plan of care for patients
• Treat residents one on one so each patient gets individualized attention through private treatment sessions with a functional based treatment approach
