Legacy Healthcare Services in Weatogue, Connecticut, is looking for a compassionate Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our dedicated team of rehabilitation therapists. This role is designed for professionals eager to provide exceptional care to senior patients and build meaningful relationships.

Your responsibilities will include evaluating patients for communication and swallowing disorders, developing treatment plans, and delivering therapies. We offer a Monday-Friday work week with no weekend requirements, alongside medical benefits and reimbursement for licensure.

Qualifications

• Masters Degree from an accredited graduate program in speech language pathology school.
• Current state license as a Speech Language Pathologist / SLP, or ability to obtain prior to beginning employment.
• Excellent interpersonal, fiscal, and clinical skills.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and treat patients for swallowing disorders and communication/cognitive impairments.
• Establish treatment goals and develop Speech Pathology treatment programs.
• Provide rehabilitative services to patients under specific medical orders.
• Participate in clinical conferences to coordinate the plan of care.
• Treat residents one on one to ensure individualized attention.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and treat patients for swallowing disorders and communication/ cognitive impairments, utilizing a variety of evidence-based therapeutic techniques
• Establish treatment goals, as well as develop and implement appropriate Speech Pathology treatment programs based upon a full clinical evaluation
• Provide rehabilitative services to patients under specific medical orders as part of a coordinated team
• Participate in clinical conferences to share and coordinate the plan of care for patients
• Treat residents one on one so each patient gets individualized attention through private treatment sessions with a functional based treatment approach
• The ability to individualize treatment sessions
