Job summary

Ascension in Baltimore, MD is seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist to provide direct therapy in the Rehab - Speech Therapy department. You will educate patients and families, plan discharges, and maintain thorough clinical records to support quality care.

This role requires SLP licensure in Maryland, with ASHA CCC-SLP preferred, and a BLS certification. The position offers Day/PRN/Weekend scheduling and on-site work at St. Agnes Ascension.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
• Doctorate in Speech-Language Pathology preferred.
• Maryland SLP license or eligibility to obtain license.
• ASHA CCC-SLP certification preferred or required.
• Provisional Maryland license accepted with 12-month deadline to obtain full license.
• BLS Provider certification required within 30 days of hire.

• Perform therapy intervention utilizing standard therapy techniques for patient condition.
• Educate and counsel patient and family regarding treatment plan.
• Maintain clinical records and follow performance improvement recommendations.
• Plan or assist with patient discharge from speech therapy services.
• Provide information regarding appropriate support programs.

Doctorate in Speech-Language Pathology (preferred)

What Minimum Requirements You’ll Need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Speech-Language Pathologist credentialed from the Maryland Board of Audiologists, Hearing Aid Dispensers and Speech-Language Pathologists obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
• Speech language pathologist provisional license will be accepted until license is issued. License must be obtained within 12 months of hire date or job transfer date.
• Speech-Language Pathologist credentialed from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
• Speech language pathologist provisional license will be accepted until license is issued. License must be obtained within 12 months of hire date or job transfer date.

Education

• Master's degree from accredited Speech & Language Pathology program of university required. Doctorate degree from accredited Speech & Language Pathology program of university preferred.
