Job summary

Ascension Living is seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist to join the Therapy PACE team in Chattanooga, TN. You will deliver therapy interventions, educate patients and families, and maintain comprehensive clinical records.

The role requires ASHA SLP certification and a Bachelor's degree in Speech-Language Pathology; a Master's is preferred. Experience with geriatric populations is valued, with options for Day or PRN schedules in a supportive Catholic health system.

Qualifications

• Requires ASHA-certified Speech-Language Pathologist credentials before hire or within 12 months after hire.
• BLS certification required within 30 days of hire.
• Experience working with geriatric populations preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform therapy interventions using standard techniques for patient conditions.
• Educate patient and family on treatment plans and progress.
• Maintain clinical records and support performance improvement initiatives.
• Assist with patient discharge planning and provide information on support programs.

How you’ll make an impact in this role

• Perform therapy interventions utilizing standard therapy techniques and skills as appropriate for the condition of the patient.
• Educate and counsel patient and family regarding treatment plans.
• Maintain clinical records and follows performance improvement recommendations.
• Plan and/or assist with patient discharge from speech therapy services. Provide information regarding appropriate support programs.

What Minimum Requirements You’ll Need

Licensure / Certification / Registration

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Speech-Language Pathologist credentialed from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required. Speech language pathologist provisional license will be accepted until license is issued. License must be obtained within 12 months of hire date or job transfer date.

Education

• Bachelor's degree required. Master's degree preferred.

Work Experience

• 1 year of experience required.
