Job summary

Legacy Healthcare Services is seeking a compassionate Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) in Algonquin, Illinois to provide personalized therapeutic care for senior patients. You will evaluate and treat patients with swallowing disorders and communication impairments, participate in care planning, and ensure individualized treatment in a supportive team environment.

This full-time role offers competitive pay of $42.00 – $50.00 per hour, alongside a range of benefits including medical insurance, 401(k), and opportunities for career advancement and continued education.

Qualifications

  • Master’s Degree from an accredited graduate program in speech-language pathology.
  • Current state license as a Speech Language Pathologist / SLP, or ability to obtain prior to beginning employment.
  • Excellent interpersonal, fiscal, and clinical skills.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate and treat patients for swallowing disorders and communication/cognitive impairments.
  • Establish treatment goals and develop appropriate Speech Pathology treatment programs.
  • Provide rehabilitative services under specific medical orders as part of a coordinated team.
  • Participate in clinical conferences to coordinate the plan of care for patients.
  • Treat residents one on one for individualized attention through private treatment sessions.

  • Evaluate and treat patients for swallowing disorders and communication/cognitive impairments, utilizing a variety of evidence‑based therapeutic techniques.
  • Establish treatment goals, and develop and implement appropriate Speech Pathology treatment programs based upon a full clinical evaluation.
  • Provide rehabilitative services to patients under specific medical orders as part of a coordinated team.
  • Participate in clinical conferences to share and coordinate the plan of care for patients.
  • Treat residents one on one so each patient receives individualized attention through private treatment sessions with a functional based treatment approach.
  • Individualize treatment sessions to meet each patient’s unique needs.
  • Work Monday‑Friday schedule with no weekend or holiday requirements.
