Job summary

Legacy Healthcare Services is seeking a Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our team in a senior living setting. You will evaluate and treat residents with swallowing disorders and communication/cognitive impairments using evidence-based techniques to improve quality of life.

The role emphasizes private, individualized sessions, collaboration with a coordinated care team, and ongoing professional growth in a not-for-profit organization dedicated to compassionate rehabilitative care.

Qualifications

  • Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
  • Current state license as a Speech Language Pathologist / SLP or ability to obtain before starting employment.
  • Excellent interpersonal, fiscal, and clinical skills.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate and treat patients for swallowing disorders and communication/cognitive impairments using evidence-based techniques.
  • Establish treatment goals and develop/implement SLPT programs based on a full clinical evaluation.
  • Provide rehabilitative services to patients as part of a coordinated care team.
  • Participate in clinical conferences to coordinate the plan of care for patients.
  • Treat residents one-on-one with individualized attention and functional-based approaches.

Responsibilities
  • Evaluate and treat patients for swallowing disorders and communication/ cognitive impairments, utilizing a variety of evidence‑based therapeutic techniques.
  • Establish treatment goals, as well as develop and implement appropriate Speech Pathology treatment programs based upon a full clinical evaluation.
  • Provide rehabilitative services to patients under specific medical orders as part of a coordinated team.
  • Participate in clinical conferences to share and coordinate the plan of care for patients.
  • Treat residents one on one so each patient gets individualized attention through private treatment sessions with a functional based treatment approach.

Qualifications
  • Masters Degree from an accredited graduate program in speech language pathology school.
  • Current state license as a Speech Language Pathologist / SLP, or ability to obtain prior to beginning employment.

USD $37.00 - $45.00 /Hr.
