Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in any field from a regionally accredited institution.
• Completion or willingness to complete foundations of special education course as a condition of employment.
• Pursue provisional Special Education license in Florida for the 2026-27 school year onward.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain relationships with students, parents, staff and administrators.
• Assess student progress and document evaluations for reporting.
• Design and implement instructional strategies and activities.
• Manage student behavior to maintain a conducive learning environment.
• Coordinate with other staff to maximize learning opportunities.
• Participate in professional development and staff meetings.
• Communicate instructional expectations to students and parents.
• Collaborate with professionals on schoolwide instructional activities.
• Use multimedia and technology to enhance learning.
• Plan lessons aligned to division objectives for varying abilities.
• Support IEPs, BSPs, etc.
