Job summary

Donelson Elementary School, part of Arlington Community Schools, is seeking a DES SPED Teacher Assistant to support students and teachers toward educational goals. Qualifications

• ESSA paraprofessional requirements to be Highly Qualified
• Two years of experience working with children
• Knowledge of IEP accommodations and ability to implement them
• Strong verbal, presentation and interpersonal skills

Responsibilities

• Assist students, teachers, and others as directed
• Assist with toileting, feeding, and other special needs
• Administer and record student assessments as directed
• Follow safety rules and maintain relationships within the school
• Supervise students during drills, assemblies, and field trips
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervising staff
