We believe in the power of high expectations, rigorous instruction, and individualized support to help every student reach their full potential.AMS is seeking a dedicated **Special Education Teacher** to join our Camelback campus. This role works closely with students, families, general education teachers, and support staff to provide individualized instruction and services aligned with students' Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).## Responsibilities* Provide specialized instruction and support to students with IEPs based on their individual academic, behavioral, and developmental needs* Develop, implement, monitor, and update IEP goals in accordance with student needs and applicable requirements* Differentiate instruction to support students performing at varying academic and developmental levels* Use student performance data, assessments, and progress monitoring to evaluate growth and adjust instruction and interventions as needed* Maintain accurate documentation of student progress, services, accommodations, and IEP requirements* Implement Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs), accommodations, modifications, and other individualized student supports* Collaborate with general education teachers, paraprofessionals, related service providers, administrators, and other members of the student support team* Communicate regularly with families regarding student progress, goals, services, and areas of support* Participate in and contribute to IEP meetings, multidisciplinary team meetings, and parent conferences* Establish and maintain a structured, positive, and inclusive classroom environment* Utilize PBIS and preventative intervention strategies to support students' behavioral and social-emotional development* Participate in professional development, professional learning communities, and school-based meetings* Collaborate with school and network teams to continuously improve instructional practices and student outcomes## ## Minimum Qualifications* Arizona State Certification in Special Education* Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Education **OR** a Bachelor's degree in a related field with at least two years of K–8 teaching experience* Knowledge of IEP development, implementation, progress monitoring, and special education services* Ability to differentiate instruction and provide individualized support based on student needs* Strong communication, organization, collaboration, and documentation skills* Commitment to supporting Title I, multilingual, and diverse student populations* Ability to successfully complete required background checks and obtain/maintain an **Arizona IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card**## ## Compensation & BenefitsAMS offers a competitive compensation and benefits package designed to support professional growth and long-term career success.* **Year-round salary of $58,331.25 - $64,571.89, DOE*** **$2,000 sign-on bonus*** Medical, dental, and vision insurance* 401(k) retirement plan with employer contributions* Employer-paid short-term disability, long-term disability, and life insurance* Paid time off* Performance bonus opportunities* Ongoing professional development, training, and instructional support* Opportunities for career growth and advancement within the AMS networkJoin us to enjoy rewarding challenges and ongoing opportunities!### About UsAMS Schools are among the highest performing Title I schools in Arizona.
