Job summary

Academies of Math and Science in Phoenix, AZ is seeking a dedicated Special Education Teacher for the Camelback campus. You will work with students, families, and staff to deliver instruction aligned with IEPs starting immediately.

Responsibilities include developing IEP goals, differentiating instruction, and maintaining progress documentation while collaborating with the broader school team to improve outcomes.

Qualifications

  • Arizona State Certification in Special Education required.
  • Bachelor's degree in Education or related field with at least two years of K–8 teaching experience.
  • Ability to differentiate instruction and provide individualized support.
  • Strong communication, organization, collaboration, and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

  • Provide specialized instruction for students with IEPs based on individual needs.
  • Develop, implement, monitor, and update IEP goals per requirements.
  • Differentiate instruction to support varied academic levels.
  • Maintain documentation of progress, services, accommodations, and IEPs.
  • Collaborate with general education teachers, paraprofessionals, and families.
  • Participate in IEP meetings, team meetings, and conferences.
  • Utilize PBIS and behavioral strategies to support students.
