Job summary

Academies of Math and Science (AMS) is seeking an 8th Grade English Language Arts Teacher for the 2026–2027 school year to deliver rigorous, standards-aligned instruction at our MASSA Campus in Tucson. You will foster literacy, analytical thinking, and strong writing skills while preparing scholars for high school through evidence-based practices.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's in Education or a valid AZ teaching certificate, or at least three years of K–12 teaching.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Education or relevant content area, or AZ teaching certification.
  • Minimum of three years of K–12 teaching experience.
  • Pass background checks and IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card.
  • Commitment to Title I and multilingual communities.
  • Demonstrate strong classroom management and data-driven instructional mindset.

## **8th Grade English Language Arts Teacher 2026–2027 School Year****Start:** ASAP **Location:** **434 W Lerdo Rd, Tucson, AZ 85705 (MASSA Campus)****Compensation Range:** **$44,770.00 - $50,550.80 (DOE)****Position Summary**Academies of Math and Science (AMS) is a network of high-performing K–8 public charter schools committed to academic excellence, college readiness, and equitable access to high-quality education for students in historically underserved communities.AMS is seeking a passionate, data-driven **8th Grade English Language Arts Teacher** to deliver rigorous, standards-aligned instruction while building strong literacy, analytical thinking, communication, and writing skills.
