LEONARD ELEMENTARY in Katy, TX is hiring a SPED - Resource/ICS teacher to support eligible students with disabilities. The role requires a Bachelor's degree and a valid Texas certification, with opportunities to lead ARD/IEP meetings and collaborate with classroom staff to develop PLAAFP and goals.

You will implement instructional programs, monitor progress, administer state assessments, and maintain confidential records.

Qualificações

• Bachelor’s degree in related field.
• Valid Texas certificate in appropriate area.
• Ability to work effectively between the school and community.
• Effective written & verbal communication skills.
• Bilingual certification required for respective positions.

Responsabilidades

• Prepare ARD/IEP meetings and attend for eligible students.
• Complete local, state and federal paperwork for program participation.
• Develop instructional programs to help eligible students master essential knowledge and skills.
• Collaborate with general education teachers to develop PLAAFP and annual goals/objectives for IEPs.
• Administer criterion referenced testing and monitor student progress.
• Maintain confidential student records and report progress on IEP goals/objectives.
• Provide appropriate behavior management and support for students with disabilities.
• Attend district trainings and SHARS duties as assigned.
• Provide Personal Care as identified in IEPs.
