Job summary

Katy ISD is seeking a SPED - Resource/ICS Elementary teacher to provide special education consultation and instruction for eligible students. You will work closely with campus staff, district SPED personnel, and families to support ARD/IEP processes, progress reporting, and data collection.

Valid Texas certificate in appropriate area.
Ability to work effectively between the school and community.
Effective written & verbal communication skills.
Bilingual certification may be required for certain positions.

Responsibilities

Provide special education consultation and instruction for eligible students.
Communicate with campus staff, district special education staff, and parents regarding student needs (ARD, IEPs, BIPs, progress).
Prepare ARD/IEP meetings and necessary paperwork.
Develop instructional plans for eligible students to meet essential knowledge and skills.
Collaborate with general education teachers to create PLAAFP and annual goals for IEPs.
Administer State assessments and maintain student data.
Maintain confidential student records and ensure least restrictive environment.
