Job summary

Great Hearts Academies seeks a Special Education Coordinator to lead the campus SPED department, supervise SPED teachers, and ensure IEP compliance and data-driven decision making. You will coordinate annual and transitional meetings, guide staff development, and collaborate with school leaders to maintain program integrity.

Must have TX SPED certification and 3+ years as a SPED coordinator, preferably within Great Hearts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; master's preferred.
• Minimum 3 years as a SPED coordinator, with Great Hearts experience preferred.
• TX SPED certification and core subject area certification required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee caseload distribution and assignments for SPED teachers.
• Coordinate and run initial/triennial data reviews and IEP meetings.
• Manage related service providers and billing/invoices.
• Lead ESS team and train ESSCs on pedagogy of special education.
