Job summary

SST Schools seeks a Coordinator to oversee Special Education, Section 504 and Dyslexia programs in alignment with state and federal requirements, ensuring effective instructional services per IEPs and 504 plans developed for students. The role requires a Bachelor’s degree, Texas SPED certification (preferred), and at least two years of SPED teaching experience.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
Minimum 2 years of special education teaching experience.
Valid Texas Educator Certification with required special education endorsement (Preferred).

Responsibilities

Trains teachers of SPED and general staff on compliance.
Schedules classes for SPED instruction and supports ARD/504 processes.
Monitors SPED/504 student progress using formative and summative data.
Maintains confidential student records and ensures timely reporting to district, state, and federal authorities.
Collaborates with administrators, Region service centers, and parents to support SPED/504 services.
Ensures safe, organized classroom environments and equitable education for students with disabilities.
