Job summary

Salt Lake City School District is seeking a Paraprofessional II (SPED) for Parkview Elementary in Salt Lake City, Utah. This part-time position provides support to Pre K students and works under the supervision of the classroom teacher and administrator.

The incumbent will assist with small-group instruction, follow IEPs, and help maintain a safe, inclusive learning environment. Starting wage is $19.00 hourly; benefits are not eligible; apply by Oct 16, 2026.

Qualifications

• Fingerprinting and criminal background check required.
• Must be Highly Qualified under ESSA with required college credits or degree or approved assessment.
• Must obtain CPR & First Aid within 2 months of hire.
• Complete Safety Care Training and Annual Health Services Training.
• Effective communication in English; reading, writing, and math basic skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist and supervise students in general education classes under teacher supervision.
• Lift up to 30 pounds as needed.
• Provide small group instruction and implement classroom interventions.
• Administer assessments and track student progress with teachers.
• Follow student IEPs and health care plans for safety and learning.
