Job summary

Salt Lake City School District is seeking a Part-Time Paraprofessional II - SPED at West High School to support students with IEP needs in inclusive classrooms. Starting wage is $19.00 per hour with a non-contract status and a 0.7375 FTE (up to 29.5 hours per week).

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Two years at an accredited higher education institution (minimum 48 semester hours) or an associate degree.
• Paraprofessional Assessment/PRAXIS ETS with a score of 460+.

Responsibilities

• Assist and supervise students in general education classes and support IEP needs.
• Provide small group instruction and implement classroom interventions.
• Administer assessments and track student progress under teacher direction.
• Ensure safety and health plans per student IEP and district policies.
• Maintain confidentiality and communicate effectively with staff and families.
