Job summary

Salt Lake City School District is seeking a Paraprofessional (Special Education) to provide one-on-one or small group support under a SPED Self-Contained program at Highland Park Elementary in Salt Lake City, UT.

The role emphasizes daily living, motor, and behavioral skill assistance, with attention to safety, Medicaid data collection, and collaboration with the SPED teacher. Immediate start, 2 openings, wage $20/hour.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• ESSA Highly Qualified status required.
• Provide CPR & First Aid within 2 months of hire.
• Complete Safety Care Training and Annual Health Services Training.
• Proficiency in English reading/writing/speaking; basic math skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist and supervise students per IEP needs.
• Support 1:1 or small groups to meet IEP goals.
• Collect data for Medicaid funding and document duties.
• Help students getting on/off the bus in AM/PM.
• Maintain classroom management and implement behavior plans.
• Perform basic math and related instructional tasks.
