Job summary

Poudre School District seeks a Special Education Paraprofessional at Centennial High School for the 2026-27 school year. You will assist general or special education teachers by providing instructional and physical support to students with significant support needs, enabling access to the general education curriculum and participation in class activities.

The role covers behavior support, personal care, documentation, collaboration with nurses and other staff, and safety procedures.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• One year of related experience preferred.
• CPI training required within 3 months of hire.
• Criminal background check required for hire.
• Special Education Paraprofessional Academy classes (5 in first 2 years) required.

Responsibilities

• Assist the general classroom or special education teacher by implementing instruction and reinforcing learning for students with significant support needs.
• Implement behavior intervention strategies and support students in managing emotional dysregulation.
• Monitor students in classrooms, hallways, and during transitions, enforcing safety procedures.

Education
