Job summary

Poudre School District in Fort Collins, CO is hiring a Special Education Paraprofessional for the 2026-27 school year at Bennett Elementary School. The role provides instructional, physical and behavioral support to students with disabilities to help them access the general education curriculum.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• One year of related experience preferred.
• Experience with special needs students preferred.
• Criminal background check required for hire.
• CPI certification within 3 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assist general or special education teachers with instruction and accommodations.
• Support students with classroom work, personal care, social skills and self-determination.
• Monitor student progress and document intervention outcomes.
• Provide supervision in classrooms, hallways, and during transitions.
• Assist with mobility, hygiene, and health-related needs as required.
• Collaborate with caseworkers and health professionals to implement IEPs.
