Job summary

Qualifications

• Assist students with personal care and access to curriculum.
• Implement behavior intervention strategies and de-escalation techniques.
• Monitor and support students across classrooms and transitions.

Responsibilities

• Assist teachers by implementing instruction and adapting materials for students with significant support needs.
• Implement behavior interventions, de-escalate crises, and use safety procedures with students.
• Monitor students in classrooms and during transitions, enforcing safety and providing supervision.
• Support hygiene, toileting, feeding, mobility, and other personal care tasks per health plans.
• Use assistive technology and AAC devices to support communication and learning.
• Document student progress and assist with IEP-related data and meetings.
• Collaborate with therapists, case managers, and nurses to meet student goals.
