Job summary

Boston Public Schools is seeking a Paraprofessional for the BTU Pilot program in Boston, MA. The role involves assisting teachers to deliver an innovative, high-quality education program tailored to meet the needs of students in K0–K1 and SPED settings.

The paraprofessional will support instruction in small groups and class-wide activities, prepare instructional materials, and help maintain an organized classroom environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 48 college credits or an Associate's Degree or passing ParaPro/WorkKeys assessments.
• Minimum of two years experience working with young children.
• Current authorization to work in the United States by first day of employment.

Responsibilities

• Supports direct instruction to children individually, in small groups, and in classroom settings.
• Provides assistance with classroom activities.
• Prepares instructional materials.
• Assists in classroom setup and cleanup.
• Manages individual and classroom behavior using prescribed approaches.
• Supervises students on field trips.
• Performs other related duties as requested by Head of School/Principal.
