Job summary

Boston Public Schools seeks a Paraprofessional to support SPED Autistic Programs. Reports to the Principal/Head of School and assists in delivering high-quality instruction, preparing materials, and supervising students. Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, 48 credits or an associate's degree or parapro/workkeys, and two years' experience with young children.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or GED, or equivalent.
• Completion of 48 college credits or an Associate's degree or paraeducator assessment.
• Minimum two years experience with young children.
• Must be eligible to work in the United States from day one.

Responsibilities

• Supports direct instruction to children individually, in small groups, and in classroom settings.
• Assists in classroom activities and prepares instructional materials.
• Assists in classroom setup and cleanup and manages behavior.
• Supervises students on field trips and supports related duties as needed.
