Job summary

The position requires ParaPro score of 464 or 48 college hours for Title I, or 15 hours/HS diploma for non-Title I, plus CPI certification after hire. 187 duty days; starting date immediate.

Qualifications

• College hours: 48 required for Title I campus or ParaPro score of 464.
• College hours 15 or high school diploma or GED (with a 464 ParaPro score) for non-Title I.
• Communicate and work with students with disabilities.
• Maintain effective working relationships; minimum clerical skills.
• Work with confidential student records; CPI certification after hire.
• Paraprofessional Aide II certificate required once employed.

Responsibilities

• Assist special education teachers in implementing instructional program for students.
• Assist in collecting data and maintaining confidential student records and charts.
• Assist with self-care of students including toileting, bathing, feeding, etc.
• Assist in implementing behavior intervention strategies and assistive tech devices.
• Carry out activities described in IEP under supervision of classroom teacher.
• Prepare and duplicate instructional materials; maintain/clean equipment.
• Provide non-medical procedures as necessary and assist all students in Special Ed.
